Congratulations to lab member Rudy Acosta for being awarded a prestigious traineeship as part of the NSF-funded “NRT-QISE: Bridging the Gap Between 2D Quantum Materials and Engineering in STEM Education” Grant (#2244274). The grant will provide Rudy with education, training, mentorship, financial support, and access to the powerful instrumentation that is part of the MonArk NSF Quantum Foundry (monarkfoundry.org).

Rudy says:

I am honored and excited to announce that I have been awarded the “National Science Foundation Research Traineeship Program Fellowship focused on 2D Materials.” This two-year fellowship represents an incredible opportunity to further my research in exploring electrochemical reactions at the nanoscale using advanced microscopy techniques. I am grateful for the support and recognition from the Material Science and Engineering Program (MSEN). I am also grateful for the support from my advisor, Dr. Martin Edwards, and the rest of my colleagues in the Edwards Lab and Chemistry & Biochemistry Department. I look forward to sharing my progress in the future, and thank you to everyone who has supported me in this journey.
